    1. One-Time Transaction Password

    In the money transfer transactions conducted from Internet Branch, and depending on customer preference; an approval password is sent via SMS to the customer’s mobile phone registered in the system. If the customer enters this password to the internet branch, the transaction is conducted; if the password is not entered, the transaction is not concluded, and thereby any possible fraudulent transaction would be prevented.

    2. One-Time Login Password Applications

    In order to conduct the banking transactions in a more secure manner; you have to enter your one-time password which you obtained by one of the following methods after your user code and password each time you login to TEB Internet Branch. One-time password generates a new personal password for every login and these passwords can never be used by the relevant customer or by any other person again. Thus, you can login to TEB Internet Branch from anywhere you wish in a secure manner.

    One-time SMS Password

    In order to conduct the banking transactions in a more secure manner; a new and single use password is sent to your mobile phone number registered in TEB by SMS each time you login to TEB Internet Branch.  The password sent by SMS is valid for 3 minutes and when this period is exceeded, it becomes invalid and prevents the login.

    Mobile PracticalPassword

    3. Password

    Login to TEB Internet Branch is made with user code, password and pin. The user code and password shall be entered to the home page and the pin shall be entered to the new screen appearing thereupon.

    4. Security Message / Security Picture

    It is a personal message and picture application used first time in Turkey. By means of this application; when the customer logs in with his/her user code and password, he/she can check his/her own picture and message appearing on the screen before entering his/her single use password; thereby he/she can ensure that he/she actually connected to TEB Internet Branch.

    5. Instant Notification

    For all fund transfer transactions to be made at or higher than the amount designated by the customer, a notification message will be sent to the customer’s mobile phone and/or e-mail address registered in the system; and the customer will be immediately notified about the transaction being conducted.

    6. IP/ ISP Settings

    You can set the IP address and/or Internet Service Provider (ISP) which you use when logging to TEB Internet Branch and you can prevent logins that could be made from different IP address and/or Internet Service Provider.

    7. Date / Time Settings

    You can restrict the login days and times of TEB Internet Branch; thus you can only login on the days and times you shall define.

    8. Account Settings

    a. Transaction Restrictions: You can close any account you wish for Money Transfer or for all transactions; but you can also completely restrain them being viewed over the internet.

    b. Receiver Account Restriction: With this restriction, you can restrain money transfer to be made to a beneficiary not included in your quick transfer list. 

    9. Card Settings

    a. Transaction Restrictions: With the restrictions which you shall make from these screens, you can close your credit card for cash withdrawal transaction; but you can also completely restrain them being viewed over the internet.
    b. Closing Credit Card for Transaction: You can close your credit cards for e-commerce and mail-order transactions.

    10. Secure Login Program

    It is a software program which we have developed to protect our customers against “key-logger” type of actions. Secure Login aims to deactivate the key-logger programs which cause the detection of keys you used in your keyboard when entering your username and password. This program enables you to make a more secure login to TEB Internet Branch.

    Secure Login Program, when installed on your computer, eliminates the need for keyboard use. If Microsoft Internet Explorer is used as the web browser on Windows operating system, then Secure Login can be installed on the computer.     11. Virtual Keyboard

    The Virtual Keyboard is an application which provides you extra security for your logins to internet branch. It has been developed against the virus software intended to detect the keys you use in your logins. The software enables you to login by using the mouse appearing on the screen and without using any key on the physical keyboard of the computer. Thus, by entering your user code and password through the Virtual Keyboard, you can protect your computer against such virus programs.

    For Your Security in TEB Internet Branch 

    The techniques of fraud change and improve depending on time and technology. Nowadays, fake e-mails that appear to have been sent from various banks and financial institutions spread rapidly on the internet. Through the links included in these e-mails, you are asked to enter/provide your personal details, card information and their PIN numbers and the Internet Branch passwords. These types of acts are phishing attempts made from internet. Do never reply to these e-mails and do never enter/provide the information requested.
    TEB never allows PIN transactions to be performed via e-mail and never asks for customers' personal information by e-mail.

    • Our Internet Explorer and Netscape user customers must always check that the “LOCKED” padlock icon near the bottom right corner of the transaction pages and of the home page where User Code / / Password questions of TEB Internet Branch asked is displayed. You can verify that a page is secure by double-clicking on the lock icon. It must display the information indicating that the page is encrypted by SSL and the web page is actually owned by TEB. "Issued to: esube.teb.com.tr" and "Issued by: www.verisign.com/CPS Incorp.by Ref.LIABILITY LTD.(c) 97 VeriSign" information must be controlled.

     

    • Do not conduct your Internet Banking transactions in open public places such as Internet cafes, etc. or from the computers owned by other people.
    • The computers in open public places may contain various programs which are used to capture your account information and personal passwords.

     

    • TEB Internet Branch provides additional security application named “Secure Login”. Please click here for detailed information.
    • Certain software applications, which appeared lately, enable to record each key pressed by the user on the keyboard of the computer. In order not to be adversely affected from this type of programs, TEB recommends the use of “Visual Keyboard” for logins into TEB Internet Branch to be made in places especially where computers are heavily used. This application enables you to enter TEB user code and password on the numerical part by clicking the keys on the visual keyboard through mouse. If Secure Login provided by TEB has not been installed on your computer, then when you enter your password and pin codes; please make your logins by using the “Visual Keyboard”.

     

    • Do never disclose your personal information such as your Internet Branch User Code, Password and PIN to third parties. Do not maintain this information in a written form.
    • By considering that it would be easier for you to remember; do not use/set your name, surname, birth date, phone number, etc. as your password. These can be easily guessed.

     

    • Make sure that you change your password periodically.
    • Always use “EXIT” button when you log out from the Internet Branch and close the window after ensuring that you logged out from the Internet Branch.

     

    • TEB employees never ask you to disclose your pin code or password. If you face with such a request, please call 444 0 666 and inform us about the situation.

    • If the SIM Card of your mobile phone is blocked outside of your knowledge, please immediately contact with your mobile service provider and with TEB by calling 444 0 666 TEB Phone Banking.
    For the security of your e-mails 

    Do not login to TEB Internet Branch by clicking the website links provided on e-mails sent to your or through direct routing methods from unknown/different web pages. You must login to TEB Internet Branch by using TEB Internet Branch “LOGIN” link that exists only on the address of www.teb.com.tr.

    For the security of your computer 
    • Ensure that there is an up-to-date anti-virus program installed on your computer. Anti-virus programs protect your system against the known computer viruses and potential attacks.  Anti-virus programs must be updated continuously and must be kept especially active when downloading files from the internet. Before installing any program on your computer by a CD or a floppy-disk, please make sure that the CD or Disk is scanned for viruses.
    • Having an installed personal firewall system on your computer is also a positive factor for your security. The firewall prevents the files or information in your computer to be sent to another user outside of your knowledge as well as any remote access to your computer.

     

    • Ensure that the latest security patches of the browser you used are installed on your computer. In order to check this type of updates, you should regularly visit the “Download” page in the web site of the browser you used.
