BNP Paribas introduced the concept of Trade Center in 2000 as an innovative solution in the banking sector to meet their clients' banking needs in their international trade operations. Since then, Trade Center concept has spread globally to reach almost 100 Trade Centers in 58 countries on 5 continents, each serving clients both in their local markets and the ones referred by other BNP Paribas Trade Centers. Following the establishment of joint venture between BNP Paribas and TEB in 2005, the decision to open 3 Trade Centers in Turkey (in Istanbul, Izmir and Adana) has been immediately taken and the necessary procedures have been completed so that they can be operative as of June 2005. The number increased to 4 in 2007 following the establishment of a Trade Center in Ankara.
